This comprehensive, on-demand course is designed to prepare students to become a nationally certified professional coder. This course is designed specifically to help coders thrive in a Federally Qualified Health Center environment.
This course covers ICD-10-CM and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) material and includes in-depth lessons on medical terminology and anatomy. CCEP also emphasizes appropriate use of references and coding tools, payer/reimbursement issues, as well as compliance and ethics issues.
Intended Audience:
Anyone preparing for medical coding certification exams through AHIMA (CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC).
Class size will be limited to 25 students per session. Multiple sessions will be offered throughout the year depending on registration interest. A minimum of 7 registrants will be needed to open a new session and dependent on availability of instructors to facilitate the course.
