Maternity care diagnosis coding can be complex. Join us as we walk through the fundamentals of coding these services. We will discuss the differences between normal and high-risk coding, including abortive outcomes. We’ll review some common conditions in pregnancy such as hypertension, diabetes and gestational diabetes HIV and substance use disorders. Our journey will also take us through maternal care related to the fetus including multiple gestations and conditions complicating delivery.
