Coding Chemistry 12: UDS Controlling High Blood Pressure Measurement

Coding for hypertension is a challenge that we’ve found across all clinics. If we don’t understand proper coding guidelines, we will dilute this measure and get inaccurate results. Not only will we look at what to capture for this UDS/eCQM measure, we’ll also look at how we need to code for hypertension differently if our documentation shows the patient has multiple associated conditions.
